Scheduled Reports
Reports can be automatically generated on a recurring schedule, such as certain days of the week, specific days in a month, or every x days. For example, certain reports can be set up to generate every Friday, others to be generated on the first day of every month, and others to generate every day.
These automatically generated reports are provided to selected employees or organization units via one of the following delivery methods:
-
Sent via email
-
Available in the Scheduled card of the Reports section
-
Sent via Notifications in the portal
-
Sent directly to the printer
Reports that can be scheduled have a clock icon to the left of the report name. Click on the icon to open a screen to add, view, or edit the automatic generation schedule of the report.
The setup parameters on the schedule determine how often the report is generated. The same report can be set up to be distributed to different Recipient groups at different schedule intervals.
Note
When setting up a schedule for a scheduled report, you can select whether to share it. This allows you to set up a schedule once then share it with multiple report schedules. Later, if the schedule expires or if you delete all the report schedules using that schedule, the schedule is no longer being used by any report schedules and will be deleted by the Report Cleanup task.
For example, you set up a schedule to run at 07:00 every Monday morning. When you set up a report schedule for Report A and for Report B, you can use that same schedule for both, without having to set up the schedule parameters separately for each report. Later, you delete the report schedules for Report A and for Report B because they are no longer needed. The initial schedule you set up (07:00 every Monday) is no longer being used and will be deleted by the Report Cleanup task, meaning it is no longer available to be shared.
