Salutation

The Salutation welcomes the you to the application. The message bids you "Good Morning", "Good Afternoon", or "Good Evening" depending on the time of day. In addition, the message wishes you a "Happy Birthday" on your birthday (if your birth date is stored in your employee record) and "Happy Anniversary" on your employment anniversary.

The name that appears after the salutation defaults to the first name in your employee record. This field can be updated to display your preferred name.

For example you can update the name of the original salutation of "Good Morning, William" to display instead as "Good Morning, Bill".

This field is found under Employee > Employee General > Preferred Name.
