General
The General tab displays basic information on the open Authorization Role. When this tab is completed, click on the Authorization Controls button to configure the access for this role and the Level Assignments button to determine the authorization level of this role, such as employee, supervisor, controller, or administrator.

Active
Indicates whether this is an active Authorization Role which can be assigned to users (Yes/No).
Application License Name
The software application that uses the specified authorization policy or role, such as Time and Attendance or Staffing and Scheduling.
Classification
Determines the type of system classification, such as Standard, Customer, User-Defined, or Replicated.
The Classification options are as follows:
Standard |
A record that is core to the system and included for all customers. |
Customer |
A record that was custom designed for a specific customer. |
User-Defined |
A record that was created by a user in the system. When a new record is entered in the screen by clicking on the Add button, it is automatically given a status of User-Defined. |
Replicated |
A record that was copied from an existing record, and then updated to change certain settings. When a new record is created by clicking on the Replicate button, it is automatically given a status of Replicated. |
Code
The alphanumeric short name or abbreviation identifying this authorization role.
Description
The label describing this authorization role.
Is Available Externally
Indicates whether the role can be used when a web server is defined as an external web server.
Is Deny Access Overrideable
Indicates whether the inherited Data Access can override direct denied access. (Yes/No).
Parent Authorization Role Code
If this role is replicated from a Standard role, this field is automatically filled with the code of the original role that was replicated and modified.
Self Assignment
Indicates whether employees are able to access their own employee record, even if they do not have access to any of the organization authorization levels associated with their employee record (Grant/Deny).
