Profile Qualification
Profile qualifications allow administrators to define levels of requirements that an employee must meet to be included on the Qualified Staff tab of the Current Staffing Overview screen. Administrators define these levels starting with employees whose profiles match exactly and then defining larger groups of employees by relaxing the requirement restrictions.
Example
An administrator could set up Profile Qualifications for RNs in the ICU department as follows. To fill RN vacancies in the schedule, administrators want exact matches, then RNs from similar units (schedule partners), then RNs from similar jobs in dissimilar units (schedule partners), and then, in an emergency, any RN.
Ancestor
The organization unit level where the Qualified Staff list on the Current Staffing Overview screen will look to find qualified staff. For example, the department only or the entire facility.
This is like a ceiling, determining how far up the organization unit hierarchy to look for qualified employees.

Set up on
.Example
Departments A, B, and C are Med-Surg units and are set up as schedule partners with a Tier Level of 1. Departments D and E are Critical Care units and also are schedule partners with a Tier Level of 1. In high-need/low-staff situations, employees from Critical Care can float to Med-Surg (and vice versa). To enable this ability on the Current Staffing Overview screen, a third schedule partner group is created. This new group of schedule partners includes all departments A - E and has a Tier Level of 2. In this example, the Qualified Staff on the Current Staffing Overview will look at Tier Level 1 first, then Tier Level 2, for qualified staff.
