Profile

The Profile screen establishes the staffing assignments for a specific organization. Profiles are defined by position code and optional station requirements and skill levels. Authorized activity codes can be assigned to a profile to be used with automatic need-based scheduling.

Profiles are set up on the staffing template to establish the staffing needs for the department.

The following Profile Sections are available when adding or viewing a record:

General

Defines general information on the profile.

Activities

Determines the activity codes that can be used by the system when automatically scheduling an employee to work this profile assignment or submitting a request to work.

Licenses

Determines the licenses that are required specifically for this profile.

Note

Licenses may also be set up at the position level for positions included in this profile.

Positions

Determines the position codes that are qualified to work this profile. Minimum skill levels can be assigned to the position.

Stations

Determines whether an employee must hold a certain station qualification to be assigned this profile. Minimum skill levels for the station can be assigned.

Multiple profile records can be copied to the same organization unit (and renamed) or to another organization unit. The new records can then be opened and modified. This feature can be used when setting up a new organization unit to create a new set of profiles based on the profiles of a source organization unit. For more information, see Steps for Copying Profiles to Another Organization Unit or Steps for Copying Profiles Within the Same Organization Unit.
