Supervisor LaborView
The Supervisor LaborView page lists all supervisors, assigned to the current Controller, who meet the criteria of the selected LaborView. To select a LaborView, use the drop down menu in the Choose a LaborView section.
Only the approving controller has the ability to approve a supervisor's Time Card Report. Once a report is approved, secondary editors are no longer able to edit the report. Only the approving controller may make changes to an approved report.
Select the pay period from the Choose a Pay Group Instance field in the left pane.
The LaborView chosen as the default (in
) is automatically displayed.-
To select a different LaborView, use the drop down menu in the Choose a LaborView section. All options selected in the preferences screen are displayed.

To quickly search for a supervisor record in the LaborView, use the employee filter criteria above the LaborView records.

Depending on the LaborView selected, the screen displays the supervisor names and includes the other information specified in the LaborView. From this screen, the employee time cards can be approved or signed off.

The records can be sorted by column information. The data is alternately sorted in ascending or descending order by clicking on the heading of that column. The ascending and descending arrows indicate the direction of the sort.

The controller can lock the records of a supervisor by checking the box to the left of the supervisor's name and clicking on the Lock Supervisor button in the left pane. A check mark is displayed in the Is Locked column.

The lock can be removed by checking the box and clicking on the Unlock Supervisor button.
Note
Supervisor time card reports are also locked during the Lock All Supervisors step of the Close Pay Period wizard.
Click the folder icon to the left of the supervisor name to open the listing of employees for this supervisor. Click the folder to the left of an employee name to open the employee TCS (Time Card Screen) and handle any exceptions or view clocking details.

Employee LaborView Icons:
The following fields or icons may be available on the screen, depending on the LaborView displayed:

Open Employee |
Click on the folder icon to open the record of the employee to the time card screen. |

Carbon Copy this employee's time card |
Click on the Carbon Copy icon to open a screen to search for a supervisor to send a copy of this time card. |

Selection Box |
Check this box to select records and then click on an action button in the left pane. For example, to approve certain time cards, check the box to the left of each record to approve and then click on the Approve button. |
The following lock icons may be displayed:
Locks can only be removed by the user who enabled them, or by a user with a system role of Administrator or Controller.

Courtesy Lock |
This lock indicates a user has taken responsibility for handling this specific employee time card record. The record is still accessible and editable by other users. |

Lock Employee |
This lock indicates a specific supervisor has exclusive editing rights to this employee time card record. The report can only be accessed in Read-Only mode for all other users. |
|
Lock Supervisor/Employee |
This lock prevents all supervisors from accessing the time card records and making any further changes to the records. This is used when closing a payroll for processing |
The following icons may be displayed under the Status column:

Finalized |
This status indicates all modifications to data or new information from input devices has been processed on this report. |

Approved |
The approving user has reviewed the report and approved it for payroll processing. Once approved, secondary editors may no longer edit the report. Only the approving supervisor can edit the report after is has been approved. |

Transmit |
A user has made changes to the report and the changes have been transmitted to the time and attendance application for processing. After the system has processed these changes, the report status displays as Finalized. |

Terminated |
The employee has a terminated status. Hover the cursor over the icon to display the termination date. |
The following exception icons may be displayed:

Critical Exception |
Indicates a serious issue with an employee time card. The time card cannot be approved until this exception has been resolved. An example of a critical exception is "An Odd Clocking was detected". |

Warning Exception |
Indicates a moderate issue in an employee time card. The time card can still be approved. An example of a warning exception is "Hours reported in excess of Approved Hours in the pay period." |
|
Informational Exception |
Indicates a relatively minor issue in an employee time card. The time card can still be approved if this exception is not resolved. An example of an informational exception would be if an employee clocked in at an unauthorized badge reader. |

Pending Exception |
This is used with the Scheduling feature. This indicates that an employee is going to have an exception if the employee works all the scheduled shifts. After the employee has actually worked the schedule, the exception becomes a regular exception as indicated above. |
The following Pending Request icons may be displayed:

These icons indicate a request to add, edit, or delete a calendar transaction. |

* Add Clocking * Edit Clocking * Delete Clocking |
These icons indicate a request to add, edit, or delete a clocking transaction. |

Editing Supervisor |
This icon indicates that the supervisor has Editing Supervisor rights to the employee. |

Read Only Supervisor |
This icon indicates that the supervisor has Read Only Supervisor rights to the employee. |
|
Approving Supervisor |
If there is no icon in this field, this means that the supervisor has Approving Supervisor rights to the employee. |
